Where Tradition Meets Innovation – A Symphony of Heritage and Progress

Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Bangladesh Pavilion

From April 13 to October 13, 2025, Fujiya was responsible for the interior exhibition planning, design, and construction of the Bangladesh Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka's Yumeshima district.

The pavilion's theme, "Connecting Lives: A Symphony of Tradition and Innovation," presents the country's rich cultural heritage, innovative strides and its commitment to sustainability. The design showcases the traditional crafts such as Nakshi Kantha, Jamdani weaving, revived Muslin, and intricate handicrafts, sustainable jute products, high-quality leather goods, the thriving ready-made garments industry, rapidly growing pharmaceutical sector and diverse agricultural products reflecting the nation’s expanding industrial base, commitment to eco-friendly practices and economic resilience of the country

The pavilion's architectural marvel utilizes wooden structural material, not merely as a construction choice but as a profound statement reflecting Bangladesh's unwavering commitment to zero-carbon and sustainable practices. The pavilion's wooden framework not only symbolizes environmental consciousness but also represents the interconnectedness of our deltaic landscape that crisscross Bangladesh. As visitors step into this living testament of eco-conscious architecture, they are welcomed into an immersive experience where the very structure narrates the story of a nation deeply rooted in its traditions while embracing the future with sustainable zeal.
